This USB 3.1 Gen 2 hub with a heavy-duty all-metal housing connects as many as seven USB devices, such as external hard drives, industrial printers, barcode scanners, serial devices and sensors, to your host computer. Transfers Data at Super-Fast USB 3.1 Gen 2 Speeds and Charges Mobile Devices
The four USB-A and three USB-C ports can transfer data at speeds up to 10 Gbps, which is twice as fast as USB 3.1 Gen 1. If all the ports are used simultaneously, each port provides up to 0.9 amps of power. Because the ports are BC 1.2-compliant, they can deliver up to 1.5 amps of charging power to mobile devices (when connected to power). The ports are backward compatible with previous USB generations, so you can continue using older peripherals while getting high-speed performance from new devices.
USB-C Ports Support Cables with Locking Screws for Extra-Secure Connections
Equipment vibrations in industrial environments can loosen cable connections over time. This hub’s USB-C ports, including the host port, support USB cables that have locking screws to help prevent unintentional disconnection. The hub comes with a 2 ft. USB-C cable with male connectors; one connector has locking screws for secure attachment to the hub’s host port. The other end connects to your computer.
Protects Your Devices Against Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Overcurrent
Machines on the shop floor can generate electrostatic discharges, which can wipe out data and damage sensitive electronics. This seven-port hub includes ESD protection to ±15 kV, reducing potential static damage to connected peripherals. This feature works in tandem with ±2.5 kV per port overcurrent protection to safeguard connected devices against damage and data loss from power surges.
Plug-and-Play Hub Offers Flexible Power and Mounting Options
This hub does not require software or drivers. To power the hub, use the included 2-wire terminal block to draw power from a power terminal or connect a compatible user-supplied power adapter to an AC outlet. LEDs indicate power and connection status. Place the hub on a flat surface or mount it to a wall or desk using the built-in brackets and user-supplied hardware.
